Wisdom Teeth Syringe?!

Question: Wisdom Teeth Syringe!?
I just had all four wisdom teeth removed and am paranoid about food getting in the holes!. My doctor did not give me a syringe, but I will go to CVS and buy one!. Can someone please tell me what kind to buy and how to use it!? Thank you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Over the counter syringe is fine, but the 1st 24 hours you are not to swish or rinse vigorously as you could upset the blood clot!. After the 24 hours, gentle brushing, rinsing and swishing is fine, but I would not be syringing the area for several days!. The extraction site heals from the inside out, so it is unusal for any food to actually get healed underneath the gums!. Hope this calms your fears!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need a "Monoject irrigating syringe"!. It's plastic, has a curved "needle" and isn't sharp!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I got a plastic one from my oral surgeon!. Very useful device!.

Not sure if you can buy them at a drug store!? I would ask your dentist for one!.!.!. or maybe try and order one off the internet!.

Or you could buy a waterpick!.!.!. that would also work!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Definitley the one with the curved edge!. Use warm water with the syringe and flush the holes generously!. Depending on how fast you heal and how big the holes are, expect up to two weeks of this!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
