Question: Why is it that ppl who really need help can't get it!?
i work part-time and go to college full time!. no medical coverage at all!. most jobs don't offer it to part-time employees!. the premiums and deductibles for individual insurance are ridiculous!. i was sick for 6 weeks in the winter, cus i feared going to the hospital because of the bill!. now my teeth are bothering me!. in january the dentist gave me an estimate of $2700!. i haven't been back since because i cannot afford it!. i'm almost in tears!. hopefully this aleve will kick in soon so i can sleep and not toss all night cus of the pain!. i would need to have kids and be on welfare to get any help!. what's wrong with this picture!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You don't need to have kids to get welfare!. If you're not a dependent on your parent's plan, and you make a small income, and are a student, which sounds like it's your case, you can receive Medicaid (medial assistance) through the assistance office!. Sometimes they don't cover dental work, but usually if you are in severe need, they will allow work to be done!. They might be able to work a payment plan out with you at the dentist!. The Government and/or The System!. It is a bit odd the way assistance is made available to people!. I would suggest working part time for a Bank, not much experience is needed, you can work part time, and you have full medical coverage!. Look into the medical assistance your college offers!. Its not something that is publicized but most colleges have health centers which offer medical assistance or they are able to help find you care!. Be strong!. I know what you mean!. I don't understand why it's so hard for US born citizens to get help from the government!. Have you tried to apply for Medi-Cal!? I think you should be able to qualify for it!. You can apply for Medi-Cal without applying for welfare or food stamps!. Of course, you'll have to jump through the hoops, but it's worth it to get the assistance you need!. And don't let anyone make you feel like a "free loader" for applying for assistance!. Afterall, that is what it is SUPPOSED to be there for - to help Americans in times of need!. If you end up having an emergency dental need, you might qualify for emergency assistance!. Contact your local assistance office (here they call it Human Resource Agency)!. There are dentist's out there that care for their patient's and not the money!.
Call around!.!.!.explain your sit!. I'm sure you will find a dentist that will put you on a payment plan!.!.!.!.
Please don't be upset with the medical field!. Dr!.'s go to school for many years and owe thousands of dollars!. You would be surprised as to how little they really recieve for their services!.
