No impressions before getting braces??!
Question: No impressions before getting braces!?!?
i went to another ortho for a 2nd opinion, he had my teeth evaluated just by looking at it (my bite, teeth and he was writing notes as he was doing this) and his evaluation was the same with my first ortho, he already have the estimated cost and treatment time for my braces!.!.!.!.is it really possible that i'd be getting braces without any diagnostic records such as xray n study model!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, I think so!. I don't remember getting a mold taken but I do remember x-rays!. X-rays are not a 3-d picture , so I don't think that would help all that much!.
It should be fine and they will likely do more indepth stuff once you deside on braces!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Has anyone taken a Panorex on your teeth!? Your general dentist maybe!? They need to know if there are problems under the gum such as extra teeth, cysts, where your wisdom teeth are!.!.!.!. I am very surprised if NO ONE has taken the time to take at least this x ray!.
I thought it was standard to take impressions/study models prior to braces to show the bite relationship!. I don't work for an orthodontist so maybe things have changed over the years!.
Ask your general dentist for an opinion on this!. Maybe he is unaware of their procedures and if he referred you to them, he would want to know you are not comfortable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When i had braces, the orthodontist did check over my teeth just as you mentioned and took notes!. This is important for him to recignise what work needs to be done!.
I also had x-rays at a local hospital ( where i just put my chin on a machine and the machine circled around my head twice )!. Giving a complete 3d photo of my mouth!.
