Braces help! 10 points and thumbs up if ansered!?!

Im 13, and I got my braces on in February!. I'm the same, all of my baby teeth are out, I have an overbite, and I have my 12 year molars!. But not my wisdom teeth!. Normally, people get their retainer AFTER they get their braces taken off!. Only in EXTREMLY SEVERE cases (which I have NO idea what they are!.!. lol) But, if your overbite is not big (mine isn't that big) then you will most likely have rubberbands, not headgearWww@Answer-Health@Com

The braces come frist then the retainer!. If you have a over bit you well have to wear a headgear to help froce your jew back!. I had to ware one!. They suck! If you get bottom braces they can put a perment retainer in, i have one!. Then the top can be plastic or metal I have had both!. I hope this helps hun!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Obviously Mom has not taken you to the orthodontist yet!. Yes, definitely the braces first as the others have said!. Retainers come after the braces to keep your teeth in their new position and looking pretty!. When you visit your orthodontist for the first time (called a consult) they will take xrays and examine your teeth and give you a treatment plan, meaning what it will take to make your teeth straight and get your bite aligned, how long you will need to be in braces and (for mom) how much it is going to cost!. Once you have all of that information and agree to move forward with the treatment plan they will make an appt to put the braces on!.
