Answers:
Did the dentist who was supposed to have done the root canal NOT take an xray afterwards!? This is standard procedure, for their protection as well as yours!.

Could it be that the dentist meant for it to be a two appointment procedure!? Some dentists do root canals in two or more visits, it could be that this is the case with your tooth!.

At any rate, yes, ask for radiographic evidence after the procedure has been completed if you have any doubts your treatment wasn't finished!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think I would have a fit with the dentist who should have finished the root canal in the first place!. I imagine they are very expensive!. And to top it off, think I might seek out a different dentist, after I got my money back from the first one!. Unfinished work is not acceptable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

OK!.!.!.An Xray should "always" be taken after a root canal is completed!.!.!.During the root canal procedure what is called a "Point" (it's long and needle like) is inserted into the nerve canal along with medication and cement to complete the procedure!.!.!.An Xray is then taken to insure that the end of the "Point" didn't extend beyond the tooth's open root tip!. If it does it can create discomfort and infection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Now that is just plain wrong!.! Why was it not finished!?

Oh and by the way, all Endodontists take x-rays when they are done, so they have proof of their WONDERFUL WORK!.!.!.LOL!.

You are entitled to an x-ray, and so is the dentist that is putting on the crown!.!.at least a copy of it!. that is another reason the Endo Dr!. should have taken one, cuz they are supposed to send a copy!.!.!?!? weirdWww@Answer-Health@Com
