How to check for cavities in between your teeth?!

Question: How to check for cavities in between your teeth!?
Answers:
you can't only the dentist!. All you do is floss and brush your teeth good!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you can open your mouth and look in the center!. if you see a discolor or gunk [[after you brush your teeth]] you more than likely have one :DDWww@Answer-Health@Com

I'm a dentist!.

Cavities on the "inbetween" surfaces of your teeth (properly known as the "proximal surfaces"), like all cavities, start out small!. With proper x-rays, such as bitewings, they can be diagnosed while they are in their earliest stages--even early enough to treat them without fillings!

It is important for you to know that decay on these surfaces will spread toward the center of the tooth more rapidly than they will spread to surfaces that are visible clinically (i!.e!. surfaces that are visible to the eye)!. Hence, by the time you can actually see a cavity on a proximal surface, there is a very good chance it has spread far enough to require more extensive treatment than simply a filling!.

I will also add that you are ill-equipped to diagnose tooth decay even on the surfaces of your teeth that you CAN see (such as the tops and sides)!. Like decay on proximal surfaces, decay on the visble surfaces spreads surreptitiously!. It is only when the decay has spread far enough to undermine nearby enamel causing the enamel to break away that you can see decay with your own eyes!.

Hence, if you have any designs of being your own dentist, forget it!

Ask yourself this question: why isn't there a profession called "Shoe-Lace-Tying-istry"!? Because virtually everyone can tie their own shoes!. In stark contrast, over a thousand years worth of history have shown unequivocally that dental care is not something that the layperson can handle himself!. So why even try!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Thats what a dentist is for!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can't---the dentist will have to take bitewing x-rays to determine cavities!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You really can't check yourself for cavities unless you are a licensed dentist!. Just brush your teeth after every meal and floss once a day and after eating sweets always go brush immediately after!. Avoid eating sweets if you can't brush right after!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
