What is the best antibiotic for a tooth related problem?!

Question: What is the best antibiotic for a tooth related problem!?
Answers:
if you mean a dental infection like a dental abscess than the most suitable antibiotic is metronidazole as this acts against anaerobic bactreia of this nature!. Amoxicillin is also sometimes prescribed as this is a broad spectrum antibiotic ( kills anaerobes and aerobic bacteria) as long as you are not allergic!. if you are erythromycin can be prescribed!.
According to the BNF cephalexin which is from the family of cephalosporins have been used in the treatment of oral infections!. however, they offer little advantage over the penicillins in dental infections often bein less active against anaerobes which are prominent in dental abscesses!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hello, The best antibiotic for a tooth issue in my opinion, is Cephalexin!.!.500mg!.!.!.take one Cap three times daily for ten day's!. You do realize of course were talking about a situation where an infection is present!.!.!.If the tooth is just creating pain and no infection is present the antibiotic isn't going to help!. In that case I would suggest you purchase an over the counter product called "OraJel"!., and then see a dentist ASAP to determine what the real issue is!. Good luck and I wish you well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you have a tooth related abscess, you need to get rid of the cause of the abscess - either by extracting the tooth or doing a root canal to remove the abscessed nerve!.

Antibiotics will only temporarily settle the infection without removing the cause!. The pain will come back if you just take the antibiotics!.

If left long enough, an abscess can spread throughout your body!. There was a case where one spread into a child's brain and caused him to die!.

Lastly, I wouldn't listen to either of the two before about antibiotics!. Yes, they are good ones to take but you need to know whether you're allergic or not to them!. If you are, then they will do more harm to you than good (ie, you could possibly die through a severe allergic reaction)Www@Answer-Health@Com
