The best treatment for cold sores is a prescription of Valtrex, ask your doctor about it!. I used to get terrible cold sores!.!.!.!.as in in several in a row!. My doctor put me on Valtrex six years ago and I haven't have a serious outbreak since (by "serious" I mean a blister that is visible to others)!.
I still get that occasional tingling feeling of an imminent outbreak, but it only happens maybe once a year!. When it does I hit it with a treatment of Valtrex to attack it internally, and an Aciclovir-based topical cream like Zorvirax to attack it from the outside!. Does the trick every time!
The only problem with Valtrex is that it's expensive!. In my country the government only subsidize it for the treatment of genital herpes, which I don't have (it's basically the same virus)!. A canker sore is on the inside and a cold sore is on the outside!. Do you have a canker sore or a cold sore!? If you have a cold sore then no, if it's on the inside then yes it might clean it out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes!. I was dissapointed with your question, for I thought is said "Salt Water and Cold Stone) as in the ice cream, so I was like "Excellent"!. But yah, it works!. also get salt on your finger and push it against the Cold Stone (Sore)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes, that will work on the inside of yor mouth!. Just a warning, it will burn like he;;!. Hydrogen Peroxide also works well!.

I assume that you mean that you have a canker sore, which is a sore in the inside of the mouth!. Cold sores are a different kind of sores caused by the herpes virus that develop at the outside of the mouth usually on the lips!. Rinsing your mouth will not help in the case of cold sores!.
Although rinsing with salt water might be effective for canker sores, you must be aware that it will cause intense pain, at least for the first seconds!.
Recommended treatments for reducing the pain and duration of canker sores include:
a) Rinse the mouth with a hydrogen peroxide antiseptic mouthwash, which can help significantly reduce discomfort from irritation caused by food residuals and bacteria that accumulate in an ulcer, while speeding the healing process!.
