I thought that it no one could hear it, but the other day someone told me that my jaws made a lot of noise when i chew!. Its a clicking sound, almost like when you crack your bones!. And when I chew it always does it!.

Is is normal!? is it bad!? What can I do to make it stop!?
I don't have dental insurance so I can't go to the doctor

Answers:
Your problem is most likely caused by a medical disorder known as Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) syndrome!. TMJ can cause head and neck pain, as well as causing audible and sometimes painful popping in the lower jaw by the ear!.

There are several treatment options including reconstructive surgery and orthodontics!. However, all of them will require the assistance of a medical professional!. Since you have no medical insurance, your best bet for combating any pain that might incur is analgesic pain killers (acetominophen, Tylonel, etc!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

it could be tmj or lock jaw talk to ur doctorWww@Answer-Health@Com

Check with your doctor!. TMJ is commonWww@Answer-Health@Com

It's your tempo mandibular joint (TMJ) most likely!. Do you chew on one side of you mouth or grind your teeth when you sleep!? I'm no doctor I just saw them as possible reasons!. I broke my jaw once, never had a problem with clicking or cracking, that's just how I know about this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Mine does too!. I guess it's because we have ridiculously good looking jawlines!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

In certain situations, clicking or cracking (like cracking a knuckle) may not be of any significance at all!. It's not necessarily good or bad!. Usually, an occassional click is really just like cracking your knuckles!.

However, if it happens all the time, it's not usually a good sign!. There may be issues with the ligaments, discs, muscle or bone in the structure of your jaw, resulting in temporomandibular disorders (TMD/TMJ)!. It could be something simple, like an ineffective way of chewing!. Or it could something more serious, as in a structural flaw or degradation of the discs!.

The best thing to do would be to ask your dentist and/or your physician for advice!. You may be lucky and find that it's not a big deal!. And if there's some kind of problem, they'll help you to find a way to keep your jaw healthier and avoid future discomfort!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is TMJ(temporal mandibular joint)!. It is were your bottom jaw meets the top jaw or the rest of your skull!. I went to school for and worked as a dental assistant for 3 years and most of the time there really isn't a big problem with it except for annoyance!. But if not corrected you could have lots of problems with pain and teeth grinding and (like I seen working one day) could have an emergency situation such as your jaw locking up to the point were it will not open again very wide with out breaking it or extreme pain and have to go to the emergency room to have it opened for you!. Do you wake up in the morning with pain on the sides of your face just in front of ears!? If so you need to save some money, look into getting insurance,or something to get this problem corrected!. Otherwise it will end up costing you a great deal more money, time, and pain!. Please try to get it fixed soon!.
I hope I answered your question!. Please let me know!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
