Question: Is technical college harder than normal college for dental hygiene!?!?
i was wondering about going to dental hygiene school
and its a technical school so whats the difference!?!?

A technical college is more hands on!. You will still have to learn terminology, and biology, but as for dental hygiene, the work is mostly hands-on, not a lot of theory!. Its also very competitive, since many more people want to get into the schools, but the schools have limited openeings!. When i applied, I had to take and pass all the basic courses (science-oriented things, etc!.) before I could even begin to take the hands-on classes!. If you have the perserverance to stick with it, the committment to follow through, and you have a good mind in your head, then go for it!. It will take a few years, but could be worth it!.
I decided not to pursue it because I didnt want to invest 2 years in taking courses, only to find out that my grades may not have been good enough to let me finish!. And I thought about having to work with peolpe who would come to the dentist with really bad breath, and I didnt like the idea of that!. I was also told that a lot of the jobs are Part time, and that if you make $45K+ a year, its because you are working at two different places!. That didnt sound appealing to me, and I did wonder how true it was, since it didnt make a lot of sense, so I just chose to do something different with my life, and so far that is working out!.
Dont let anything I've said deter you if thats what you really want, just know all the facts!. Make sure you are going to an accredited school!.
