Tooth pain?!

Question: Tooth pain!?
Ive been having tooth pain for about 3-4 days (the same time ive had my cold), and the only time it goes away is because of taking Motrin!. My dentist said to wait it out, and cant tell if it is infected!. Is it more likely to be related to a sinus problem because motrin is the only thing that makes it better!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Since the roots of upper molars and sometimes the premolars, can be in very close proximity to the floor of the Maxillary sinus, when you have some sinus congestion, fluid can build up causing pressure that will feel like a toothache!. A big clue to it being a sinus problem is that you feel pretty ok when you are laying down, as the fluid sloshes away from the tooth roots, but you get the ache when you are sitting up, or standing up!.
Also, if the ache goes away when the sinus congestion ends, that is a good sign that it was the cold that was the problem and not something else!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
