My teeth feel like they're moving again 8 years after getting braces removed!

Question: My teeth feel like they're moving again 8 years after getting braces removed!.!?
I had my braces off when I was 15/16 and was given a permanent retainer in the bottom teeth and a removeable one for the top!. My Orthodontist said that I could get the permanent one removed when I turned 21!. I wore the removeable one constantly until I was 18!. Then I lost it and never wore it again!. Called the Orthodontist to ask about a new one and he said I didn't need it anymore!. When I was 21!. I got the permanent one removed!.

Well, my top ones have since shifted and seriously every day, feel like they're moving!. It may just be in my head but I know they have moved and they are a bit crooked!. Not noticeable or anything but when I get up close and examine them, they're crooked!.

My bottom ones haven't moved at all!. I still have my wisdom teeth,

Was this a poor choice by my Orthodontist!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Wisdom teeth are useless and sometimes put pressure on other teeth by pushing forward-so your teeth may be shifting!. As you get older, your lower jaw constricts (slowly over time) and will cause your lower teeth to shift so you probably should have left the lower retainer on!. There is some amount of "settling" in your teeth after your braces come off!. You could always get new upper/lower retainers to hold your teeth how they are now or just gamble and wait to see what happens!Www@Answer-Health@Com
