Ugh..question about orthodontic bands for braces..I just got them put on, is thi!

Question: Ugh!.!.question about orthodontic bands for braces!.!.I just got them put on, is this normal!?
I got the rubber band "separators" put in to make room for the actual braces!. They put them in around 9 oclock this morning!. I took Tylenol before, and until about 1/2 an hour ago I had no discomfort!.
Now, they don't hurt where the separators are, it's in the very FRONT of my mouth!! Especially on the bottom teeth where there is a lot of crowding!. The top teeth are a little sore in the front but the bottom feels like I've been kicked!! LOL

Are the bands moving my teeth already!?!

I'll take more Tylenol, but I just wondered if feeling that much pressure and pain in your front teeth is normal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes, it is normal to have pain and pressure with spacers!. Take Tylenol like you have been doing!. The spacers may fall out too in a couple of days!. Don't worry about it they did their job then! You will have the same kind of pain when you get the wires tighten!. They don't tighten them every time you go!. Sometimes when its in the middle of your treatment you may find that even eating is painful!. I had braces for 4 years a long time ago! I also am a dental assistant now!Www@Answer-Health@Com

yea!. they hurt!. they are moving ur teeth already!. they dont hurt for a long time though!. i only had pains for about 1-2 days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had braces like what you describe!. That first night, we visited friends of parents, and had steak cook-out!. I cut a piece, put in mouth, and left the table in tears!. Was Impossible to bit down, chew!.
I ate a lot of soup and malts in early days!.
Yes, it can hurt like %%$&^^@ And yes, they are starting to move from where they have long been rooted in your jaws!.
You are entitled to some sympathy, and so is each suffering little tooth, really!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ug, I totally feel your pain!. When I got my spacers in they hurt more than my actual braces! The reason your front teeth hurt is because your teeth are already beginning to shift! Keep taking Tylenol and try to eat soft foods (pudding, soft bread, apple sauce, jello, ect)!. I know it probably seems like the pain won't go away, but your teeth really will feel better soon! Good luck with braces!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
