Please!. Can someone help me so that I am not soo nervous tomrorrow!?!?!? Im REALLY NERVOUS!!!! Can someone explain to me the process of how they put them on and how they put the things on that wrap around the molars!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am an orthodontic assistant so I sure hope I can help! It truly is not a bad experience!. At our office the assistants fit the bands on the molars and cement them in!. First they will remove your seperators if there are any!. Then they will try to find the band needed for your tooth, it may take several attempts before finding the right one!. To actually get the band on we have the patient do most of the work by biting on what we call a bite stick!. We place the bite stick on the band and tell you to bite and then you eventually bite it into place!. After all of the bands are fitted we take them off and get them ready to be glued in!. Placing the brackets is super easy, we put in cheek retractors to help keep the teeth dry and a block to bite on so you won't have to try and hold your mouth open the whole time!. Then all you have to do is just sit there while they get the teeth ready for the brackets they are placing!. They will prep the teeth with a few things to help the glue stick better!. Then they put the brackets on!. Once that is done they will place your wires, which is when you will know you are almost done! Keep in mind they might not do things exactally like this since it is a different office but I hope this gives you a better idea of what will happen!. And if you are still nervous let them know that and ask them to talk you through the whole process!. I think you will do just fine!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Ok i got my braces in march and it doesnt hurt at all!.

it doesnt hurt but ur jaws may cuz there open for a couple of hours

did they put spacers in!? they should have to create a space between your molars so those silver things go on easily!. then they go from there!. they put the brackets on all the other teeth and then they put in the wires!. you could possibly take some tylenol before maybe to help with any pain!. afterwards they reccommend you eat to work your teeth so it won't be painful!. good luck and don't worry!Www@Answer-Health@Com

first they will polish the teeth then a primer will be placed on the teeth and a bracket cemented on each one!.
the main annoyance is keeping open and dry!.
the back bands will be first fitted then pushed on
after all is in place a single wire will be strung through the brackets tightened and the secured by little bands on each tooth!.
pressure is about the only discomfort you will feel
no big deal its a cinch youll be okay

it doesn't hurt that much it's more just an annoyance!. the most annoying part is sitting with your mouth open the whole time, when i got them on they used this plastic thing that held your lips up from the teeth, so you might wanna bring some chap stick!. But w/ the thing on the molars, they mold it to fit your tooth and then just kind of shimmy it on!. It feels like a tight pressure, but not really pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It doesn't hurt and neither does getting them off so something to look forward to!. But all they do is put this cement kinda stuff on your teeth and put the brackets on!. Im not really sure about the wrap around molars because I didn't have to get those!. If they did the molding already than you should be good to go!. but be careful because I broke a bracket my first day getting them!. Good luck =]Www@Answer-Health@Com

It won't hurt while they're putting it on, but it'll ache a bit AFTER!.
