Question: Dentist, problems!!?
i just came home from the dentist, and the news is this!. I have a cavity on my lower part of my mouth, the 3rd tooth frmo the back!. I have had a cavity filled before, but it was really small that i didnt need any shot, no novacaine!.!.!.!. So in about 2 weeks im due to get it done!. I have never had novacaine unjected into my gums before!. Im kinda good with needles, when i get a shot and when i get my blood work done!. How long does this processes take for the actuall cavity fill!? should i be scared for the needle!? someone told me to close my eyes when i get the shot!. how long does the need go into the gums, and how much of the needle is in there!.!.

in my experiance the shots in the arm hurts much worse then a novicaine needle!. the needle is long only so it can reach the back of the jaw were it needs to go!. but only the tip goes in!. I have had several fillings, extractions and a root canal!. I am the biggist baby in the world when it comes to pain!. it's torture just taking a bandaid off my arm!. I'm not kidding!. bloodwork & shots in the arm hurt me a whole lot more!. so if your like me, a novicain needle will be a masquito bite to you!. thats all!.
as for how long, that depends on how big the cavity is!. but maybe 20 minutes or less!. time waiting to numb, drill, fill, smooth the filling!. at least for me!.
