Answers:
Vicodin is a mixture on a narcotic (hydrocodone) and tylenol!. The tylenol gets rid of the pain!. The narcotic makes you think there's no pain!. (that's the drowsy thing you're experiencing)

If you can, take 800 mg of ibuprofen 3 hours after you take the vicodin!.

The ear thing is a temporary nerve issue!. It should subside within a couple of weeks!.

keep smiling!. It will be over before you know it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Im going through that also!. I had a root canal done and I have been taking vicodin for a few days now!. It hurts so much, but after about 2 hours, after taking 2 vicodin pills, I feel relief!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you might want to take 2!. 500's arent that strong!. Take 2 then take a nap it'll probably help you sleepWww@Answer-Health@Com

The vicodin will relieve your pain well, but oral surgery is quite painful!. The numbness also masks the effects of the meds as well!. What I have used is: take a lipton tea bag, wet it with water, gently squeeze it out and place it on where you had the work done!. It will ease the pain and also help clot the area!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Are you sure they were not 500mg!? That's what mine are!. I had a wisdom tooth pulled 9 days ago!. The pills take almost an hour to fully work on me!. First my hands would shake, then I would get dizzy, then sleepy and the pain would be gone by then!. My dentist said I could take 1 or 2 pills every 4 hours!. Try taking two at a time if your dentist says it's ok!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Vicodin is not going to relieve the pain completely!. Take it in conjunction with ibupropfen which is not only a pain killer, but it will help with swelling!. Also, keep ice packs on 30 minutes on/ 30 off all day today!. People tend to forget that oral surgery is more invasive and you are going to have pain, regardless of the pain medication!. Remember too, pain and swelling peak the third day out, so if you had them removed today, than Friday will be the worst day!. I hope this helps! Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
