I'm getting braces tomorrow and i want to know if i will get headaches and if my teeth will hurt when i clench them or when i eat!. A week ago the orthadontist put this blue stuff between some of my teeth and said that it would seperate my teeth so he could put metal stuff in!. I could not eat until the fourth day and i had lots of bad headaches whenever i stood up and walked around!. Is that what braces feel like!?Do you also get things like alsers and cold sores when you have braces!?!?!? ThanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

when i first got braces it really hurt to eat or clench my teeth for about 2 weeks and i couldnt close my mouth!. i have had braces for 1 year and 4 months now and i constantly have an olser somewhere in my mouth, but never had coldsores!. i dont know about the 'blue stuff', i never got that!. also i never got headaches but then everyones different!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
at first yes!. you might get headaches and you might not!. it depends!. really, the only way that i no of is if they tighten them too much!. yes your teeth will hurt for the first week so stick to soft food!. DO NOT clench your teeth unless you want to feel pain and it will hurt when you eat also!. braces can ffeel like that but if you dont let it bother you, then you will be fine!.you will get cold sores and alsers and raw cheeks on the inside of your mouth that eventually turn to callesus!. but that will all go away!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
