Answers:
Gum Disease!.!.!.
Gingivitis involves the gums

Periodontal Disease!.!.!.
Periodontal means tissues and structures surrounding or encasing a tooth!.This would be gums, bones, ligaments!.

Bacteria that is left undisturbed for more than 24 hours!.!.!.
Begins producing little habitats!.!.!.which allows the bacteria to start producing toxins

These toxins are what destroy the gums and bone surrounding your teeth!.!.!.

The first thing the toxins do!.!.!.they ulcerate the gums!.!.!.if you were to take the gums that surround a tooth, and place it under a microscope, you would see little micro-ulcers all around the gums!. The ulcers are what bleed!.

After ulcerating and then destroying the gums, the toxins start eating away at the bone, your teeth start looking really long and wobbly!.!.!.and eventually you lose your teeth!.

What you HAVE to do to stop this GUM/PERIODONTAL DISEASE is to disrupt the habitat of the bacteria so it can't produce the TOXINS!.

No toxins, no bleeding = healthy gums and bone

Juvenile Periodontitis, usually following puberty, more common in teen girls than boys, more prevalent in African Americans than any other race!.

Gingivitis is a gum disease!. It involves the gums, but not the bone!. You can have this at your age!. There are some young people who have a gum condition that involves the bone it is called Juvenile Periodontitis!.
If your gums are bleeding when you brush or floss this is showing a chronic infection in the gums!. If they don't bleed, it could mean you are just not hitting the gums enough to show that they are irritated!. Have your teeth cleaned and checked if its been longer than 6 months!. Brush the gums with a soft brush at a 45 degree angle to the gum/tooth contact!. Brush at least twice a day for 2-3 minutes and change your brush every 2-3 months!. Floss once a day and use a "C" shape with the floss around each side of the tooth!. Go down into the gums and move the floss up and down in a buffing motion!. If you are doing this and the gums bleed, keep it up!. Don't avoid them!. If you don't have a lot of hard deposits (calculus) under the gums, the bleeding will go away in a few days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

THERE IS SUCH A THING AS LOCALIZED JUVENILE PERIODONTITIS, BUT THIS IS USUALLY LIMITED TO THE MOLAR TEETH!. ALTHOUGH GINGIVITIS IS MORE COMMON!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have the same chance of having it!. It is uncommon but it is very possible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
