Should you brush your teeth before or after breakfast?!

Question: Should you brush your teeth before or after breakfast!?
Research shows that since acid levels in the mouth rise immediately after eating, the tooth enamel is more likely to be damaged when brushing after eating!. I imagine most people don't have time to wait until their acid levels have fallen before going to work/school/college and leaving the house having eaten and not brushed seems unhygienic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Dentists recommend that you brush before eating your breakfast, mainly for 2 reasons!. Brushing before breakfast rids your mouth of the plaque/germs that have built up during your nights sleep, and also, brushing before breakfast helps protect your teeth from the foods that you are most likely to add sugar too, such as cereals and tea/coffee!. Many foods attack your teeth in such a way that it is actually harmful to brush them after having eaten or drunk them, some foods soften the surface enamel of the teeth, and brushing afterwards can further erode and destroy the tooth surface!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I brush after eating, but you're not suppose to press too hard against your teeth and gums!. If you brush before eating, your breath won't be fresh!.
If you really want to brush before breakfast, get a mouthwash, so you can just rinse your mouth again after eating!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

eating without brushing means that you will be ingesting the bacteria that built up from when you slept!. but brushing before leaves your breakfast tasting pretty lame!. honestly, enjoy your breakfast, savour the taste then brush well!. i mean, the bacteria will prob be killed in your stomach anyway ;) lolWww@Answer-Health@Com

I've heard from dentists that you should brush before your teeth before breakfast!. Because if you don't, all the bacteria you have accumulated in your mouth while you slept will be swallowed with breakfast!. Not very nice for your guts, I supposeWww@Answer-Health@Com

I always thought that if you brush after eating, you will swallow all the bacteria that you are supposed to get rid of while brushing when you eat your food!. Then again, I'm a programmer, not dentist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
