Clicking Jaw?!
Question: Clicking Jaw!?
In 2005 I got my braces (top and bottom) off which i had for 3 and a half years, now i wear a plate/retainer at night times!.
I have noticed lately that my jaw is so sore, it aches at night time and clicks and cracks (locks and then clicks back into place or whatever)!. Is there anything I can do to fix my jaw!?
I sometimes forget to put in my plates at night, and during the time of having braces I found my jaw clicked and cracked like it does now but not this bad!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have that too and I have asked my friends and I know a few that have the same problem!.I dont think it has anything to do with your braces or retainers!.Anyways try asking your dentist!.

You can ask your dentist about getting a custom made bite guard or depending on how bad it is, you may need a "splint" which is a bit more expensive!. Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
