Question: How long will it take to cure my swollen gum below a tooth affecting my eating!?
It seems when I looked in the mirror, the gummish skin below the tooth seems a bit torn!.!.don't know how!.!.how long will it take to heal because its kind of irritating/paining my chewing !?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Mike be sure to floss daily (be sure when you're flossing that the floss goes into the pocket between the tooth and gum tissue - it should literally disappear under the gum line, then wrap the floss around the tooth like a 'c' and scrape the tooth to get the plaque/debris out)!.
When you're first flossing, expect some bleeding and achy gums!. If that happens be extra gentle with the brushing and use warm salt water rinses to soothe the tissue!. As the tissue gets healthier the bleeding will stop!. How long it takes for the puffiness to go away is hard to say, that takes time so keep up with the flossing!.
When you're brushing be sure to gently brush your gums!. Never ever scrub them, that tissue is way more delicate than what's on the back of your hand, etc!. And always use a soft bristle toothbrush!. Anything harder than that will abraid your gums and the enamel on your teeth!. (Harder bristles do not equal whiter teeth)!.
I'm not comfortable with the idea of straight hydrogen peroxide rinses!. Consider using Listerine a couple of times a day!.
Of course my advice will only help if it is a hygiene issue!. Anything beyond that!.!.!.!.I don't know!. Consider going in for a check-up and cleaning if you're due!.
