Can good oral hygiene lead to select the bacteria?!

Question: Can good oral hygiene lead to select the bacteria!?
I have a good oral hygiene, I brush my teeth after every meal, I use dental floss more than once a day!.
I don't have bad habits such as smoking, eating sweets or drinking coffee, etc!.
I used to go to the dentist every three months, and I always had some caries!. I thought I was being deceived, than I stopped going regularly!.
But, I had a job examination some days ago and they found 3 caries!. I'm going to have a root canal treatment today, because one of them!.
Hoe can this be possible!? I know many people who don't use to brush the teeth!.
I think I am selecting the bacteria in my mouth, by killing the weaker and creating conditions for the stronger to grow!. Can this be happening!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
No, its not the way you are thinking!. You might be maintaining a good oral hygiene but its really demoralizing to have caries after such an effort!. Some part of this lies in our genetic basis of life, i mean the individual genetic set up!. Some people have higher buffering capacity of saliva which does not allow micro-organisms to make their grounds into the oral cavity!. Some people have the above mentioned condition reversed!. So even though they dont maintain a good oral hygiene, number of carious defect is relatively less!.
Another thing is that the way you brush your teeth!. Along with how many times you brush your teeth, its also very important that how you brush!. Ask your dentist about this!. He is going to explain you!.
So continue doing the good work!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
