How can you temporarily seal a mashed/cracked temp. crown?!

Question: How can you temporarily seal a mashed/cracked temp!. crown!?
I have a temporary metal crown that I have managed to crack and mash into surrounding teeth!. I grind my teeth at night (badly)!. I have had the temp!. for about 2 weeks and have watched it gradually become a mess!. I can taste some type of mint coming from it and can see/feel the crack!. I also see some metal pieces from it on the surrounding teeth!. It's Saturday and my dentist will not accept pages unless the patient is in "severe pain"!. I am not in much pain now unless I drink something too cold or hot, I'm just worried about what I will do to my crown tonight!. Does anyone know of a sealant I can use to protect the crown until Monday!? Do you think I could put some Polydent on/in it!? Then try really hard not to sleep LOL!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Dont!

You'll make things SO much worse for your dentist!

The mint your tasting is the Eugonal, they use it to soothe the tooth!. Your tooth IS going to be sensitive because there is no enamal on your tooth, I suggest just being really really careful, it's nothing harmful, but can be painful!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

DON'T PUT ANYTHING ON IT!. The dentist will have a terrible time dealing with the additional stuff afterwards!. You need an appliance that will help avoid damage from bruxing!.
Here's some reading on it!.
