U should wait 2 do anything wit the barbel 4 at least 6 weeks!. Then u can start 2 change them and take them out 2 clean!. If the one u have is sliding around alot, u need another size!. The loosesness can provide opportunity 4 infection!. The best thing u can do right now is disinfect with listirine and brush around the ring when u brush ur teeeth!. I have have my tongue peirced 4 7 yrs now and have NEVER had an infection!. Im not a dentist but I CAN try 2 answer ur question!. LOLWww@Answer-Health@Com
