Question: What o i do!?!?
i have a wisdom tooth that has been wanting to come out for about 6 months only half of the tooth is out and my gum keeps getting swollen what is going on!? is this going to keep happening!? does it have enough room to grow!? i would go see a dentist but at this time i have no inshurance!! how do i know if it is infected!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Mostly you are suffering from pericoronitis or in other words inflammation around your erupting tooth!. Its a very common condition!. Nothing to worry!. If you are suffering from last 6 months, then you should visit a dentist!. Perhaps he is going to conduct a very minute surgery in which he will remove the overlying tissue on the erupting tooth so that it comes to a normal level without any pain!.

It likely won't come in any more, but the only way to find out for sure is to have the dentist take an xray of the tooth!. It may be wedged up against the other tooth, it may be sideways, or even stuck under the jawbone!. If it IS wedged against the other tooth, it will actually dissolve your healthy molar (much like permanent teeth eat away at the roots of the baby teeth as they come in)!. In addition to the extraction, you may require a filling on the molar or, depending on how long you leave it and where it's dissolving it, you may need that tooth out too!. Try to save a bit just for an exam and xray!. They can give you an estimate at that time and a prescription for antibiotics if you're infected!. You will most likely have to have it pulled!. If your mouth isn't big enough it is going to crowd all your other teeth and cause a lot of problems!. I don't think it costs a lot of money to have it pulled!. Don't wait too long!. Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
