Post-op care/guideline for molar extraction?!

Question: Post-op care/guideline for molar extraction!?
I would like to know what I should do to make sure the healing for an extracted molar goes well!.

It's day 4 now!.!.!.and luckily, I've had no swelling at all!. I've been taking a little hydrocodone for the pain, but that's been kept at bay too!. I still feel a little discomfort after eating, until today, and i usually take a pill for that!.

I was wondering what I should do to take care of it!. I've been using this prescribed mouth wash from the dentist since day 2 and use the syringe washer to clean the spot after eating!.

All I ate/drank was juices and yogurt for the first 2 days and went to regular food on day 3!.

What else am I missing here!.!.!? And how do I know the difference between food stuck on the extraction sight!.!.!.form dried/healing blood!?

Thanks in advance everyone!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You probably have a post-op appointment scheduled later!. Until then, do this: Finish any antibiotics prescribed, if needed!. You can lay off the narcotics slowly and switch to a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (Advil, or whatever you normally take for mild pain!.) Gently brush your teeth, not into the site, but over it!. Continue using the rinse given, but only gently swish moving your head side to side- don't gargle and spit!. Also, do NOT use a straw for about 2 weeks!. Both of these will suck the necessary blood clot out of the extraction site!. Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com
