I had all 4 Wisdom teeth removed? Cheek/jaw pain?!

Question: I had all 4 Wisdom teeth removed!? Cheek/jaw pain!?
Hi everyone!.
On Tuesday morning I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed!. I've been super paranoid about developing a dry socket so I've been trying to be extra careful!. A problem with me is that I love to spit and obviously, I can't until my mouth is healed!. Because I can't spit, I keep swallowing!. It hurts my teeth and throat when I swallow so I have to wonder if swallowing can cause a dry socket!. Is this possible!? Also, it seems as though my jaw and cheeks hurts more then my mouth!. What's up with that!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth out at the same time as well and not being able to spit was horrible!. However, if you fill your mouth up with water and just let it fall out instead of spitting it out you should be fine!. That is what my surgeon told me to do as there is no pressure on the stitches that way!.

Swallowing cannot be helped, and it doesn't cause dry sockets that I'm aware of!.

Your cheek and jaws hurt more because they often remove a bit of the bone to access the wisdom teeth, and they've generally just been chipping away at your jaw!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It doesn't matter how hard you try to avoid dry socket, it will happen anyways!.

You'll know if it's dry socket, it will be incredibly painful, and it will hurt from your temple, to your jaw, to your chin!.

To fix it, if it is, you visit your dentist, and he'll place a gauze in there with soother and stuff to force it to heal!. You'll be fine after about a week!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My cheeks and jaw hurt alot more than my teeth!. My chin felt strange for over a week almost like a tingiling sensation!. I had mine out about 2 months ago!. All is fine now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ask your dentist, they know about your dental history!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It takes awhile to heal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
