Can i crown a sensitive tooth instead of root treatment?!

Question: Can i crown a sensitive tooth instead of root treatment!?
Answers:
Did the dentist tell you that you need a root canal!? If you were told this, then you must get one!. Obviously there is an infection and if this is let go, it can cause serious problems!. The infection can get into your bloodstream and make you sick!. Obviously the nerves in your tooth have gone bad and there is no alternative!. Having a crown on your tooth will not do any good unless the nerve(s) are removed!. A crown is put on a tooth that doesn't have enough structure to hold a filling!.(i!.e!. the decay in the tooth was so evasive that most of your natural tooth had to be removed) If your tooth is only just sensitive and there is nothing wrong with the nerve(xray or "pulp test" will tell), then the dentist can use a desensitizing solution!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you need root treatment, a crown won't help - the pain/sensitivity is coming from the nerves in the root of the tooth being infected, and they'll need to be removed so the canal can be disinfected!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That is possible but your dentist should be able to tell you for sure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
