Anyone had a molar tooth extracted...?!

Question: Anyone had a molar tooth extracted!.!.!.!?
I know it's probably my own fault from bad diet, smoking, teeth-grinding etc!. but I'm due to have a molar tooth extracted Friday once my course of antibiotics for an abcess have kicked in!.

I assume they'll anaethasise the area first, but can anyone tell me if it will actually hurt having it removed!? It's quite badly decayed, plus I have this abcess at the moment, but will it be painful having it removed!? At the moment I don't think it could get any more painful, even after popping Ibuprofen painkillers and soaking it in Clove Oil every couple of hours, so I'm guessing the removal will just be one massive relief!Www@Answer-Health@Com

just had one of mine out after a failed root canal, they dont acually pull on the tooth, they push it up and twist, the anasthetic doesnt hurt, they should give u 3 lots, one in your cheek, roofof mouth next to the tooth, and once thats kicked in theyl give u another right in at the base of the tooth, but u cant feel it!. its really not that bad at all!. i nearly fell asleep acually, compared to the pain of having a raw root, its bliss!!!! afterwards it ached a little but nothing compared to what i thought it would feel like!. my tooth was week from the root filling and came out in 4 bits cos it all broke up, just meant it took a bit longer!. nothing to worry about really, and u seriously cant feel a thing!. xxxWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes , many years ago i had an abscessed molar removed in an Italian hospital, without any kind of anaesthetic, Of course it hurt like hell but the relief afterwards was worth it Sorry to have to tell you this, but you did ask, However don't worry it is unlikely you will be subjected to such treatment in today's World!. I hope it goes well for you on Friday!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I pulled my own out, with pliers and a tumbler of whiskey for anesthetic / steriliser!
No, I wasn't being macho, and I do NOT recommend it! I just could not afford even NHS charges at the time!
But the point is, the pain was bearable with just a slug of whiskey to deaden it!. A proper dentist with proper equipment and drugs - it should be a breeze!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It shouldn't hurt but you might get tugged around a bit when their pulling it out - depends how decayed it is as to how easy it will come out!. Mine made a bit of a crunching noise too when it came out!.!.!.

It will be worth it just to get rid of the pain & abcess!.

Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

you need it out and the sooner the better!. The pain of getting it out will be nothing compared to the discomfort you have been feeling!. Yes it hurts but it needs to be done!. You may feel a little funny after its a good idea is to go along with someone!. I have had 3 taken out whilst pregnant and i felt quite strange after and sick so my mum came with me!.
dont worry it will be okWww@Answer-Health@Com

I just had one out, felt nothing at all but the noise is a bit yuk!. Ached afterwards as the anaesthetic wore off but it healed amazingly quickly!.

I'm the biggest wimp as far as dentists are concerned so if I can get through it I'm sure you'll be ok, good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It can hurt!. You'll have the weekend to get over it!. I suggest getting some paracetamols in as you can use them on top of ibuprofen!. A bottle of good whisky too!. Be a brave little soldier mate!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the injection to numb is worse than having the tooth out!. It does not hurt, Ive had 2 out and a wisdom tooth!. Just follow the instructions on the leaflet for aftercare you will be okWww@Answer-Health@Com

its not a pleasant experience but it won't hurt - the noise (squelchy) and the tugging is the worst bit!.
Try taking an walkman or mp3 player with you and play some music while its being done
Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
