I am taking pain pills with codeine over the counter!.!.!. This is day 3 and im still very sore!. I had one wisdom on the top right removed - normal extraction!. I havent been eating much just soft stuff and warm salt water rinse!. Is this normal to be real sore still!? any advice!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

IF THE PAIN HAS NOT DECREASED BUT WORSENED, CALL THE DENTIST BECAUSE YOU MAY HAVE A DRY SOCKET!.

Yes it took me much more than 3 days to get rid of all of the pain and soreness!. It helps if you move your jaw as little as possible and drink cool water it helps to sooth it!. Your majority of pain should be gone after your first week and your gums should be healed around the second week, But this depends on how old you are( younger people heal faster) Just keep eating soft foods and rinsing with salt water!. Make sure you don't suck or spit anything because you could get dry socket!.
