Just had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out yesterday.. so I have some question!

Question: Just had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out yesterday!.!. so I have some questions!.!?
Okay, so yesterday I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled out, and it took like 2 hours!. Then when I got home, I looked in a mirror and saw that my face is swollen up like a balloon!. =[[ The pain is almost unbearable!. About every 3 1/2 hours the medicine wears off, and I'm in total agony!. So my questions are:
How long does it take for the pain to go away!?
How long will I look like a chipmunk!?
And also, how long will it be until I can start doing my normal activities!? Oh yeah, and do you think it will still be painful and swollen by monday [in 2 days] because I don't want to miss school, but do you think I'll have to!?

Sorry about all the questions, but I'm in a lot of pain, and my cheeks look like there's mountains on each side of my face!.!. =[[Www@Answer-Health@Com

When I had my wisdom teeth pulled it was on a friday and I went back to work on Monday, so it doesn't take long to be back to normal!. The swelling should go down in a couple days, putting ice packs every once and a while on your cheeks will help the inflammation to decrease!. Honestly with wisdom teeth it really varies person to person, I wasn't in that much pain after I got mine done and hardly had to take any pain medicine!. I'm sorry yours isn't that case but hang in there! eat cold things you don't have to really chew, it feels good on your sore gums and don't try to push it and eat something that is hard or crunchy!. Also never ever suck through a straw during the healing process, I'm sure you have heard the horror stories of dry socket! each day your face should go down to normal so I think you should be fine!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Cheeks and lips being swollen after removal of your wisdom tooth are a normal scenario!. pain and swelling takes about a minimum of a week for the to subside and 2 weeks max for it to completely go back to normal depending on your pain tolerance and how well you body heals!.

And yes, it will still be swollen in 2 days!. No heavy acivities, like running, lifting heavy stuff etc!.

A cold compress would help improved the swollen area!.
Goodluck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's normal!. I had mine taken out a couple of months ago!. The pain went away within 5 days!.

Applying ice packs to your face will help with the swelling!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed at once too!. The swelling (in my situation) went away in about 3 days!. The pain wasn't that bad for me, The pain pills made me feel worse than the pain alone from having the teeth removed!. The pain did start to subside after about 3 days i still carried tylenol with me because occasionally it would ache really bad!. Remember to follow all the post surgical instructions your dental surgeon gave you, its better to suffer with this pain and swelling for a few days than to wind up with dry sockets!. I've never had a dry socket but know people who have and it doesn't seem like any fun at all! Take it easy and allow yourself time to heal, dont push yourself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
