Well done on your recovery! The damage to your teeth is usually on the inner surface, near the palate!. You might have noticed that your teeth are sensitive due to the thinned enamel!. But your dentist can treat this with a fluoride varnish!. If the damage is more severe you could get the teeth crowned/capped!. You'd really need a dental exam to tell!. However be reassured that extractions are really the last resort, and your dentist will have a range of treatment to offer before then :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

There may be some sort of treatment that the dentist can recommend to stop any further damage but unfortunatley some of the damage will probably not be reversible!. I really hate it for you because I am very proud to know that you are dealing and recovering from bulemia!. Instead of looking at this as "Oh no, will I need dentures" look at it as "If I do need dentures at least I'm alive to get them" because you could have died and you didn't!. Dentures or no dentures you still have something to smile about!!!!

My best to you!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

actually, i think it shouldnt have too much damage!.
i mean, it would have been better if you rinsed your mouth out with water and then a flouride rinse each time after you threw up, but im pretty sure 3 years shouldnt be too bad!.
keep up with the dentist visits, and tell them the situation!. you can say that you get motion sickness often and throw up a lot; you dont have to tell them the honest truth!.
usually the acid in your stomach diminishes the enamel of your teeth, and that should be your main concern!. flouride rinse or anything else a doctor could recommend would be helpful!.
before my pregnancy, I threw up for a little over 5 years (not everyday), and my teeth are healthy (or so the dentist tells me)!. just make sure if you ever do that again, rinse with water to wash out the acid, rinse again with flouride to help the enamel, and whatever you do, DO NOT brush your teeth right away after you do that, because the acid softens the enamel in your teeth, and while rinsing is okay, brushing is too abrasive and may actually take off the enamel!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your dentist will be able to tell you if you have any damage!. Hopefully you have a good amount of porcelain left, otherwise you might have problems!. But the dentist will hook you up!.
Congrats on recovery, I was bulimia for about a year, long time ago!.!.!.I recovered by myself, looked in the mirror one day, and was scared straight! And, well, my girl friend did help out to, she was very supportive!.

Definitely go to the dentist and in the meantime get hold of a toothpaste like Pronamel to protect the enamel left on your teeth!. You can also get a mousse/ gel type thing from the pharmacy that you apply to your teeth a couple of times a day, which will help too!. Try to avoid soft drinks too!.

Glad to hear you are well again!. You must be a trooper!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

As soon as a patient opens their mouth, a dentist should be able to tell if the patient has 'issues'!. Yes bulimia strips teeth, or should I say 'destroys teeth' yes you may end up losing them eventually, and you will need some work!. What a price to pay for wanting to be skinny! Drugs are also devastating to teeth!. If i had a dollar for everytime my boss came out shaking his head in depression!.!.!. another 'meth mouth'!.
One patient, i dont know how he has the money but he has just spent $25,000!.00 trying to get his teeth back!. (heroin/ methadone) !.!.!.!.!.!.
You may still be okay but!.!.!.!.Dont go soon!. GO TOMORROW!Www@Answer-Health@Com
