Assuming we are not talking about an impacted or complex extraction!. Local anaesthetic is used to ensure no pain is felt!. In a majority of cases, the tooth is actually pushed on - rather than pulled by the dentist at the initial stage of the extraction!. This is combined with a gentle rocking or rotation of the tooth - depending on which tooth is involved!. This controlled movement actually widens the socket and thereby loosening the tooth!. The tooth is then gently removed and sterile gauze is placed in the mouth, which the patient closes on!. Any bleeding usually stops within a minute or two!. After the anaesthetic wears off the patient may feel sore, but not usually experience strong pain!. You can certainly talk after an extraction!. The dentist will provide a set of post operative instructions!. The chance of swelling can be minimised by the applications of cold packs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ive had 9 baby teeth pulled while awake and four permaent molar that they took out while sleeping!. all they do is numb your mouth adn yank as much as they can!. it hurts!.!.!. but after the first four my teeth were kind of used to it!.!. (i got the first four out at 7, then at 10, then at 12 i gott the molars out) if they put you to sleep its the same procedure thing as awake!.!. they mainly numb your mouth, it make it feel poofy and huge, and then they yank away with some tool!. you can ask for your teeth at the end too :D
after, it hurts and bleeds a lot!. your mouth will kinda be numb for a bit but it'll go away!. your jaw will just be sore, you might get headaches too!. you wanna take tynenol or watever they tell you to!. theyll give you gauses which are water absorbant cloth that you put in your mouth to clean the area, they're annoying and make you drool, youll wanna take em out but your mouth will be so numb it'll be kind frustrating, you might swell, it will feel like that already because of the numb thing, but thats okay!. they'll explain everything!. oh, i fergot to mention, they make your mouth numb by puttying shots into your mouth, it kills but the only thing to remember is not to get frustrated from any of this, it honestly make the pain worst!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had 4 teeth out in the one sitting, im not too sure about the exact procedure!.!.!.i prefer not to know exaclty wat my dentist is doing, but theres a lot of pulling, it feels strange but doesnt hurt!. Immediately after I was fine!.!.!.talking heaps even though i had gauze in my mouth to apply pressure to stop any bleeding!. after a couple of hours the anaesthetic wore off n i felt preety lousy, bit sore (like bruised), not as talkative!. I lived off yoghurt, custard, soup and chocolate milk for the next few days!. i didnt notice too much swelling!.!.!.apart from the usual 'fat lip' and cheeks from the anaesthetic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
