By Friday you should hopefully be feeling a lot better than you are now!. The swelling should've gone down a lot although you might still have some visible bruising!. Extraction sites usually heal pretty quickly because of the good blood supply!.

Rest up and take your painkillers!. I'm sure you will be feeling much better in a day or two!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The big lumps on your cheeks are your cheeks, unfortunately!. The swelling and bruising is not unusual when they remove wisdom teeth!. Sounds like you must have had all four taken out at once!. When you pull a tooth, it does quite a bit of damage to the tissues, and in the face that translates to swelling and bruising!. It's hard to say exactly how long it will take the swelling to completely disappear, althoug by next Friday you should have lost most of the chipmunk look!. To give it the best shot, try applying mild heat at this point and move your jaw as much as you can!. Sleep propped upright, which uses gravity to help drain the extra fluid in your face!. That will all help to reduce the swelling the fastest!. You might have a word with the teacher on Monday, and see if you can make some arrangements just in case things don't go well!. You should look human again by then, but strange things happen sometimes!. Some people just swell and bruise more than others, and you can't tell exactly how much until it's a bit late to do anything about it!. In this case, the teeth had to go- so it's not like you had a lot of choice!. The face is pretty well wired and supplied with blood, and it just doesn't always take to being messed with well!. Since you don't mention much significant pain, you should have pretty good luck with heat and gravity!. Good luck with the presentation!.

Edit - I don't mean to be funny- but yes, those are your cheeks!. You started with a thin face, and taking out the teeth was a significant amount of trauma to your entire face!. When you take out a tooth, you leave a toothsize hole in the bone of the jaw there!. Had you created four of those same size holes in your leg bone, you would not be surprised if it was swollen and hurt like ****!. We just don't tend to think of it quite that way!. And that's just the injury to the bone- now consider the damage done to the gums, and the other tissue on your face!. Compounded all together, and it makes for one fat face, complete with bruises!. The face really has a lot more wiring and blood supply than you realize, and it's not unusual at all!. You should see how folks look after a nose job- they think they had their face peeled off, except it has no eyes to speak of!. So yes, what you describe is normal!. Honest!. Your dentist would probably not think you look bad- but medical folks have a different idea of what looks good and bad!. Apply the heat, drink plenty of fluids, and stay upright as much as you can!. It will go down in a few days!. If you like, you can gently rub your cheeks to help work the fluid back into the bloodstream to be carried off!. But do go easy with it!. I'm really sorry dear, honestly!. I bet you do feel foreign to yourself right now!. Just hang in there, it will go away and it will get better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
