Is it true that drinking pop, like Coke or Coke Zero will eat away the cement on!
Question: Is it true that drinking pop, like Coke or Coke Zero will eat away the cement on your braces!?
I have braces that were put on less than a week ago!. A friend of mine commented on my choice of beverage today, a Coke Zero, and said if I drink that it will eat away the glue/cement that holds the braces to my teeth and the brackets will pop off!. Do I have to give up my pop!? I only have one a day, and I brush 3 times a day (or after every time I eat)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't believe that it will eat the cement away!. The pop isn't touching the brackets long enough!. Mostly, the pop just isn't healthy for the teeth!. Just think about it this way!.!.!.you have your tooth and part of it is covered up with a bracket!. If you are exposing your teeth to sugary pop the tooth will start to change color!.!.!.!.and the part behind the bracket wont because it isn't exposed to the pop!. If you are only drinking one pop a day!.!.!.!.so be it!.!.!.!.!.that's fine!.!.!.!.and you are brushing 3x a day!.!.that is awesome!. If anything try drinking through a straw so the popl doesn't hit your teeth as much!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

As per my friends, brush teeth after eat is not good coz when u brush those foods u eat when add the toothpaste will increase the acid!. Thus this acid is not good to teeth!.
