Question: I feel Horrible Please Help Me!?
I went to the dentist office today and I was told that I needed to have 2 Root Canals done!. Today I had one done but it wasnt finished so I was told to go back on Wednesday to finish the root canal!. I feel Horrible I'm afraid of loosing my teeth!. I might also need a crown over the tooth that I had my root canals done!. Have any of you guys had root canals done and if you have what was your experience!. Was it painful!? Did you get a crown!? Is a crown necessary after a root canal is done!? Please help me I need some advice!. Please tell me something that is going to make me feel better!. I feel so bad that I haven't had anything to eat today!. Please Help Me I will really appreaciate all of your answers!.!.!.GOD BLESSWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes- Get the crown after it is done!. it will protect the tooth which will get brittle after the root canal!. Otherwise you may lose the tooth!.
Root canals can be painful, but it is better than not taking care of it!.

I have had root canals and a upper plate put in!. I take Advil or Tylenol to ease the pain after the dentist finishes his work!. You can also take large doses of vitamin C to ease the pain (it acts as a anti-biotic) and is a natural way to ease the swelling thus reducing the pain!. You must eat and you can eat soup with pieces of bread to fill you up!. The crown is needed to protect the tooth!. The sooner you get it done the better!. A cold compress placed over your head or towel will help to east the tension as you lay back and try to relax!. Listen to some smooth, mellow music!. You will be ok!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Root Canal's are painful always!. No matter how many times they are done!. Mine hurt like a hot poker hitting my tooth!.

my sister had one done she was in pain for awhile, of course it will hurt but its nothing big, she didn't get a crown though, but shes fine and kicking today at the age of 21!. that was one tooth she still has the rest!. good luck!. take care!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

a root canal is not that bad!. but the crown may make shorter the opposite teeth , bcos it's not a teeth, its metal!. but to say , it's better to loose the teeth totally, right!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Very important!!! Root canal teeth must be have permanent crown completed due the fact the nerve tissue has been removed and the tooth will become brittle and eventually break if not protected with full coverage crown!. If you are worried about losing your teeth, get with Hygenist to help go over oral hygiene home care!.!.!.!.brush and floss at least twice a day and avoid drinking sugary drinks all day!. Ask for flouride rx: toothpaste!. Eat something or get a smoothie and take an anti-inflamatory if you are not allergic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
