Infected crown?!


Question: Infected crown!?
i already had a root canal about 2 months ago, and they put a temp filling in, then put a temp crown on!.!. well now, my gum around my crown is REALLY swollen and red!.!. do i just need antibiotic!? My tooth doesnt hurt!.!. just the gum around it!.!. I have a appt may 13th but i want to get this resolved before i have my perm crown on!. Should i go in early!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Call the office asap and let them know your symptoms!.

You don't want to have the permanent crown put in if there is an underlying problem with your gum tissue!. Most likely, they will put you on an antibiotic like Amoxicillin 500mg!. for an infection, and have you take Advil or similar for reducing inflammation!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
