Question: Has anyone had a dental flipper, and could you wear it!?
I had a tooth extracted and am awaiting an implant!. so in the mean time I was fitted for a "flipper"!. It is horrible, I paid $475 for it and it is awful!! It is a pink plastic thing, looks like a retainer, the pink part goes near the palate , but there is a gap under there, like a suspended ceiling!. There is metal that goes on one side of the missing tooth, that is not so bad!. On the other side is another metal hook that is supposed to hook around another tooth, however it kind of sticks into the inner palate and causes some slight pain, you can't bite down because this thing prevents that from happening!. So I can't speak without lisping, can't eat without gagging on my food!. You can barely see that a tooth is missing!. Anyone else have this problem, know what I should do, or did I just waste $475!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi! I am a Registered Dental Hygienist!. First thing tomorrow morning I would call the dentist that made the partial and tell them your problems!. If they are good then they should be able to work you in on Monday so it can be adjusted so you can eat and talk normally!. You don't want to not wear it because the teeth can shift where you had the tooth pulled and that could prevent you from getting the implant!. That is a lot of money, but it is your mouth and it is just as important as any other part of your body!. In the long run it will be worth it!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
my grandmother has one and it works amazing!. you cant even tell ts there!!! it bleds in and stays in!. her old ooth kept falling out and she would have to glue it back in!. this one works great!. i would recomend it for you!. you can do anything with itWww@Answer-Health@Com
