2nd Molar Surgical Extraction?!

Question: 2nd Molar Surgical Extraction!?
Hi,

Ive just been to the dentist and after an x-ray ive been imformed that my second molar is blocking my wisdom tooth coming through on my bottom left side!.

Its going to have to be surgically extracted casue its not erupted yet!.

Ive got a few questions-

Whats better, under general anaestetic or just like drowsy/local!.!.
How much will it hurt!?

also will the wisdom tooth (which is perfectly fine) fill the gap thats left a bit!?

BTW im 15!.!.16 in october!.

Let me get this straight!.!.!.they are going to take out your 2nd molar to let your wisdom tooth erupt into it's place!?
Hmmmmm!.!.!.!.are you sure they aren't going to surgically extract the wisdom tooth (3rd molar) so it won't push on the 2nd molar!?

If they are going to remove the 2nd and hope the 3 rd moves forward !.!.!.!.hmmmm, guess it could happen

You can choose to be put under for your surgery or you can have something like Nitrous and a few numbing shots!.!.!.!.or just the shots!.!.!.whatever you choose I am sure you will be in good hands with your dentist/oral surgeon!. Make an appointment with them to discuss your options!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

are you sue it is the 2nd molar that is to be extracted!.!.!.usually the 3rd molar (or wisdom tooth ) is the one to go!. the drowsy / local that they give is usually fine, if you are in pain just let the dr!. know, and they will see to it that you are made comfortable!. now, if you are currently in braces, they can drag the tooth forward, but in most cases the 3rd molar doesn't have a very good sense of direction when it comes to erupting!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Get knocked out, definitely!. I am not saying it will hurt but who wants to be anywhere near alert with all that going on!? Not me and I have been on the invading side of this procedure enough to know that you don't want to know!.

If the wisdom tooth does not fill in the gap then braces are in your future!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
