Question: I got approved for a dental credit card, but need to change dentists!!?
I got a credit card to pay for my dental work, unfortunately I need to switch dentists!. They estimated a total cost of $4k but they have not done the total cost they estimated by maybe $2k!. Does anyone know if I can switch dentists, or am I stuck having to pay the $4k while having to pay another dentist for the work that was not done from the previous (thus ending up with two bills)!. The credit card is already sending bills for the $4k even though I have not used all of it!. Does the dentist need to advise the credit card company!? Any help is appreciated!

Did you use something called Care Credit or maybe Capital One!?
If it is Care Credit, the way that many dentists handle the patients treatment plan, is to work up the total fee and charge it all at once!. With Care Credit it is interest free for one year and a low interest for the following years!. However, to make it interest free, the dentist is actually paying the interest, and to get the low fee, they are paying half!. That is how Care Credit works!. Most patient elect to charge all the work at once, to avoid getting multiple bills!. With Care Credit, you would get a bill for each time that the card is swiped!. If you go into the dentist 4 times, you would end up with 4 different bills from Care Credit, each with a one time transaction fee!. Most patients would rather only get one bill, so they agree to charge it all at once!.
Whenever we have had a patient decide to switch dentists or stop their work before it was finished, leaving them with a credit on their account, we refund the money to Care Credit!. I have never seen a case where we have refunded it to the patient, because we are still paying interest on this money!. By sending it back to care credit, we wouldn't be paying interest on the full amount, just what they actually used!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you should be able to switch dentist's!. do you not have any dental coverage!? Ameriplan USA offers discount dental benefits for $19!.95 a month for your entire household, which includes vision, chiropractic and prescriptions for free!.
