Infection caused by wisdom teeth...?!
Question: Infection caused by wisdom teeth!.!.!.!?
So i got my wisdom teeth out about a month ago, and just yesterday i noticed a lump on my gums back there!. i went to the oral surgery place today!. found out i had an infection, and when he had opened the hole back up in my mouth, the infection was actully black, well!.!. it was very dark colored and SICK!. so the guy gave me this biggg bottle of prescription mouth wash and some ogmitten (sp!?!?)
but my question is!.!.

There are so many different organisms that live in your mouth that it really could be anything!. There was an opening in your mouth from the surgery and the bacteria invaded that space!. I'm more inclined to think it's probably a strep species that has caused the infection, but without a wound culture from the infected site, it would be difficult to know for sure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
