What is better when getting your wisdom teeth removed Local or general anaesthes!

Question: What is better when getting your wisdom teeth removed Local or general anaesthesia!?
Im getting all 4 of mine removed in about 4 weeks and I have impacted wisdom teeth as well!. Which is better!? Do you think its a good idea to get all 4 done at one time or is that too much!? How long does it take!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hey there!.!.!.im a dental nurse so ive seen alot of wisdom teeth cases!. You can get them all done in one go!. As for how long it will take!? it depends on your surgeon or dentist and how good they are at removing wisdom teeth!. Some surgeons ive seen have taken all 4 out in under an hour and a half!. It would be better for you if you have either Intra-venous sedation or General Sedation, but not Local because that would probably be a bit harsh for you if your initially worried about the procedure!. I!.V Sedation is where your partially asleep and General Sedation is where your put totally to sleep!. I would go for I!.V Sedation because your partially awake and the drugs they give you make you feel relaxed and happy, tthe anaesthetist also adds a drug to make you forget the entire procedure in the end so you wont remember the pain (if any) or anything that went on!. During I!.V and G!.A they would still have to give you Local Anaesthetic to numb the areas!.
Hope that helped!.!.!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I wouldn't necesarily be worried about the drugs while they're being taken out as much as I would be worried about the drugs after they're already out!. make sure you get something good because the pain afterwards is a mutha! but to answer your question the only difference is that one you're awake (local) and one you're not (general) if the doctor numbs you up good enough it won't matter either wayWww@Answer-Health@Com

i had one out a few months ago, i wanted th general anaesthic cus i didnt want 2 watch him doing it!. but he said that they don't give it any more unless absoutly necessary, i asked about th laughing gas too and they sed they dont give that any more either but id be fine wih the local!. it really is a brutal experience!. you cant feel nothing but you can see everything that happens and the hole wer ur tooth is bleeds 4 ages after!. whe i came downstairs my mum was like you look white as a ghost, an i jus wanted 2 cry cus i was in shock of what had just happened!.

honestly, if you get the choice, go 4 the anaestic that makes you sleep through it!. i wish i had of insisted on it!. th nly thing abt it tho is that they have to unlock ur jaw to do it, but you wouldnt even know that was happenin cus ud b asleep!.

hope it all goes well!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I got all four out at once (not impacted) and had general anesthesia!. I was glad to be out, I hate having my mouth worked on while I'm awake!. Waking up after was weird though!. Couldn't tell you how long; I took two vicodin before, so I don't remember getting to the oral surgeon, or much of anything until about 36 hours later!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
