Question: Is dental assisting a long term job!?
i am deciding on my future job, i know the dental clinic prefer younger girl starting like 18 or 19 years old!.!.!.i want to know if the job can last very long!.!.!.

I started assisting in 1985!. Hmmm, long term!? Yep!
When I started assisting things were much different and all assistants basically could do was to suck spit from the patient and clean up after the dentist!.!.(okay, a little dramatization there) but I went on to take classes to get my xray and become expanded function!.!.!.
Dental assisting can be very rewarding when working for a great Dentist!. There is no reason you can't have a great career that will last you till you retire!.
I have never found a clinic that only hires pretty young girls!. The dentist would much rather have a great assistant than something to look at!.!.!.!.a key to succeeding is to also treat the patients with respect and kindness at all times!.
