Answers:
I turn 26 this year and am still in the braces I got 3 years ago!. My teeth are almost perfect now, and it was so worth it! My orthodontist also says that there are many people our age or older who choose to get braces!. Did you know Tom Cruise got braces when he was 39!!? Other adult celebrities who have had braces recently are Gwen Stefani, Diana Ross, Cameron Diaz and Whoopi Goldberg!

Go and get them done, you will feel so much better about yourself afterwards!.

They normally cost between $5000-$8000 depending on how severe the crookedness/gaps are!. Mine were on the high end, about $7000, and they had a payment plan that worked out really well!. Mine were a little pricier because I got clear plastic brackets on top, which cost more than metal ones!.

Invisalign is cheaper and less noticable(ie!. you won't have a "metal mouth") but it's also not as effective, and I wasn't even a candidate for Invisalign as my teeth were TOO crooked!.

Look into local dental/orthodontic colleges, sometimes they will do work at a lower price to teach students the techniques!. It's all under the watchful eye of the trained orthodontist!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, not too old!. You just need to be more careful!. Braces literally move your teeth by applying pressure which causes the bone to break down around the roots of your teeth, and then it is rebuilt after braces are finished!. This can leave your teeth very weak and unstable during and for sometime after braces or any method of moving teeth!. For adults, we don't rebuild bone like teens!. You need to have perfect oral hygiene during the time you have braces!. Be sure your teeth are strong enough to stand the movement!. Take a multivitamin and calcium supplement with Vit D to help with the bone rebuilding!. Purchase a waterpik and be sure you know how to use it correctly (not on high and don't point it down into the gums)!. Preferrably get a cordless one b/c it has a smaller water tank which will allow you to put mouthwash, like hydrogen peroxide or a mix of hydrogen peroxide and listerine, in the tank to keep your gums healthier!. Get an electric toothbrush (preferrably a Sonicare)!. Use a fluoride mouthwash at least 1 time a day, preferrably 2, to help keep teeth strong while the braces are on!.A dental/orthodontic school could do braces for cheaper!. Be sure to get your regular 6 month cleanings as checks with your dental hygienist!. You may require more frequent cleanings during this time if things aren't going well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No your not too old!. My aunt just got them, and she is like 42!. Also my cousin, who's like 25 just got them!. Lots of people your age are getting them now!. And besides 26 is pretty young anyway!. At least your not waiting until your as old as my aunt!.
And it depends on your insurance and orthodontist!. If you go to a cheap, but good orthodontist, plus if you insurance is good and covers your age, it will pretty reasonable!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

no! your not too old! my god, im 26 too, and now I feel old, haha!. Anyway, I dont think your gonna get them done for free!. But if your willing to pay $19!.95 a month there is a company called ameriplan and they are a medical and dental discount company, they will cover 20% of the cost of orthodontics!. See the link below!Www@Answer-Health@Com

No your not too old honey!. Sometimes insurance offsets the cost some too depending on the need for them!. You could check into the invisalign but they take much longer to work and are not designed for any serious movement of teeth!. Good luck to you! Besides, braces look cute, don't sweat the look of them!. Remember the long term pay off will be great!Www@Answer-Health@Com

no no no!.!. you can never be too old to get braces, i think my orthodonist was like 40 and she got braces, it's all about what makes you feel better about your self and what you want your teeth to look/ be like!! i don't know about the price stuff but good luck =]Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well insurance will help with coast!. However you are not to old!. There is also invisiline if you are self conscience about having the metal braces!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
