Is it normal to have newly applied ceramic braces pop off two times within the s!

Question: Is it normal to have newly applied ceramic braces pop off two times within the span of 10 days!?
I am an adult female and had braces applied (for the second time in my life) ten days ago!. They are ceramic braces - just like the metal but clear!. In the span of the past ten days two of the same brackets have popped off my teeth two separate times!. The orthodontist office takes me in right away and they have been reapplied!. During the first re-application, an additional bracket came off (which was then reapplied)!.

My concern is - I have only had these braces for ten days and they have come off twice already!. I have two small children under the age of four!. I cannot conveniently take weekly trips to the orthodontist to have these brackets reapplied!. The technician said that the clear braces don't stay on as well as the metal!. I am wondering why they didn't tell me that during my consultation!.

Do you think this is just shoddy service!? Can I switch orthodontists so soon/at the beginning of my treatment!? I have already made a 20% deposit!. Should I talk to the orthodontist!? Help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
No this is not normal!. It sounds to me like they are not preparing the tooth properly!. Do you have fillings or crowns on these teeth!? They may need to use a different method of bonding if so!. I am an orthodontic assistant and we have different cements we use for natural teeth, crowns, and fillings!. I have never heard that clear brackets don't stay on as well, it is not a problem in our office!. That probably doesn't help much but those are my thoughts! Hope you can solve your problem!Www@Answer-Health@Com

sounds pretty normal, they should have told you that the clear don't adhere as well but this can happen and is common you are not alone!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
