Answers:
in a case where an old filing is taken out, and depending on the size of the cavity,if it is big and close to the nerve, usually a temporary medicated filling would be recommended!. then in about two weeks if the patient is a-symptomatic, making sure that there is no pain whatsoever, especially to hot or cold, then the tooth would be permanently restored!. if not then a root canal would be recommended!.
in your case there is only pain at night!. which can be one of two things: ask yourself this!.!.!.!.!.!.
1!. The crown is too high for your bite!.When you bite down do you feel like one side of your jaw hits before the other side!?uneven bite!.
2!. Do you ever catch yourself or feel like you clench or grind you teeth in your sleep!?
it can be a combination of both !.Which can definitely promote the kind of pain that you described!. I'm very certain that it has to do either one!.
nothing really serious, you just need it to get adjusted
well hope this helps, and you feel better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it def can be an infection!. how long have you been having pains!? even though it may have looked all clean and sterile, while drilling some bacteria may have gotten in!. you should talk to your dentist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
