Sore gums in one spot?!
Question: Sore gums in one spot!?
I have a very tender area of my gums!. It's a very small area behind my last moIar!. I brush regularly! It came on suddenly a few days ago, and the area felt slightly more irritated and a bit more smooth!. I think I may have brushed the area a little to vigorously last night, and may have taken off a bit of tissue!. I flossed extra around there last night to make sure nothing was stuck under the gums!. I've started to use listerine to help twice a day!. I've dabbed some perioxide on it too!. Please don't suggest the dentist as there's no way I can go for the next 3 days!. Could it be a canker sore!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
you havent said if you already have your wisdom teeth!? this area often gets sore in many people and i really wouldnt worry maybe you knocked it whilst brushing!. if you already have your wisdom teeth and the area is getting worse rather than better then maybe you have a gum infection!. wisdom teeth are prone to infections and if you have them then it is right near that tooth!. i would stop treating this yourself!. just brush as normal, dont floss this area (could irrate any loose skin) and use mouthwash and if it is getting worse after a few days maybe try and get to your dentist!. i hope this helps!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. sorry wrote this before you said you have your wisdomsWww@Answer-Health@Com
I had a similar thing couple of weeks ago, but I was in absolute agony!.!.!.!.not meaning to worry you :-/
It sounds like a gum infection, I don't think you can stop it by brushing and flossing, but I do suggest you get some mouthwash called Oraldene!. It can be found in your local chemist and its especially for things like this!. I know you said don't suggest the dentist but I'm going to anyway, my dentist gave me some antibiotics and it calmed down a lot within a day!.
Good Luck!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
