no, it really doesn't hurt at all when they put them on, only when they are fitting the back brackets on, and that doesn't even hurt so much, it just makes you squirm! haha!. but yeah!. the 2nd day is the worst, but you should be good after a week!. i was told i was supposed to have braces for 2 years, its been 2 years and i'm expecting another years worth of braces! so i have pretty much been through everything in the book!. email me if you ever have questions!Www@Answer-Health@Com
hi i am a dental nurse and i have had braces myself!. i cant remember much about my own experience as it was a long time ago haha but what i do remember is that there was no pain when getting them fitted i think its quite fun you get to choose a colour!!! i do remember it hurting a few days afterwards and that by sleeping on my side it caused the braces to cut my cheek and was very painful!.
so my advice is firstly get some bonjela before u get them fitted and any pain around the mouth apply it to it before it worsens!.
i would definately have some painkillers at the ready just in case u suffer at night times like i did!.
the important thing to remember is that this doesnt last long!. after a week or so you will forget u have them and u wont feel any pain in the teeth until u go to get them tightened but even by then u are used to it and will know what to expect!.
lastly stop worrying and look forward to having a set of beautiful teethWww@Answer-Health@Com

Don't be scared, it doesn't hurt at all!. But make sure you take some pain reliever before you go in to get them on!. When they put the wire through, it can hurt a little, but not too much, just make sure you stay calm!.

i get them 2 or 3 months my friend says they dont hurt when they put them on just only when they tighten them so good luck
