Try leaving your denture out as much as possible--like when you are asleep, if you are alone at home, etc!. When I used to work for a dentist, we had a few patients (male) that would come in for their denture adjustment and tell us that they adjusted it themselves! I think one guy used a pocket knife (!?) and I can't remember what the other guy did!. There's probably the slightest little edge that's rubbing your palate!. You could try an emery board but it may end up rough and make it worse!. Sorry I couldn't give you any real suggestions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

many times after receiving a new denture, you will need an adjustment on the denture!. get to your dentist next week to get an adjustment!. in the meantime, keep it out of the mouth unless your in public!. Its like wearing an ill-fitting shoe which can cause a sore spot until its adjusted!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

imo, i think it's normal while you're getting adjusted to them!.
it sounds like they're rubbing right now!. i would give it some time, see what your dentist says!. maybe he or she can give you something or adjust them so they don't rub!.
good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
