Question: Hi i have to go to an oral surgeon!?
my wisdom tooth and the one in front of it have to come out(it's broken)!. the roots on these 2 teeth are intertwined, could you please tell me what to expect, and how long it will take to heal!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

strangely enough, I had the exact same surgery done! They pulled the wisdom tooth out and the molar in front of it because I had cracked it on something!. I had them knock me out completely for the surgery!. They gave me the option of local anethesia and complete sedation and I went for the complete knockout since i am a complete WUSS about the drilling, etc!. That day, I was pretty woozy when I came home, but the pain wasn't horrendous!. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't pleasant, but the vicodin helped alot!. I just laid in bed and watched movies all day!. Don't use a straw, I think it increases the chances of getting dry socket, which sucks the big one!. I felt almost completely back to normal after a few days!. Easy!. Make sure you don't need any other widom teeth removed!. It's better to get them all done at the same time!. The oral surgeon will give you the laughing gas!. You will not feel anything except tugging!. There is no pain while getting them pulled!. If your wisdom tooth is impacted, the doc will cut into your gum to remove it and then stitch you up!. Afterward, you will feel the pain, stock up on Tylenol or you'll get a Rx for Tylenol with codeine!. By a day or two, you'll be fine!.
